Live input — basics
The three-tap flow
- Player — tap the player who made the play.
- Action — choose Serve, Reception, Attack, Block, Set, Dig, Free ball, or Other.
- Evaluation — choose the quality or outcome of the action.
If the evaluation ends the rally, the score updates immediately. If the ball stays in play, repeat the three taps for the next action.
Adjust positions before the rally
The player grid follows the current on-court rotation. If players are standing in different receive or defensive positions, drag them to temporary locations before entering the rally. Use Default positions to reset the temporary arrangement.
Temporary placement changes the input layout only; it does not rewrite the official serve order.
Record a serve
Tap the server, choose Serve, then select the evaluation:
- Ace
- Returned to us
- Negative pass forced
- Positive pass allowed
- Error
An ace or service error ends the rally. The other evaluations continue it.
Record a reception
Tap the receiver, choose Reception, then select Perfect, Positive, Negative, Overpass, or Error. These are the English labels for the app's A/B/C-pass scale.
Record the final contact
You do not need to enter every contact to get started. Record the serve or reception and the action that clearly ends the rally, such as an attack kill, attack error, stuff block, or opponent error.
Example
#7 → Serve → Negative pass forcedOpponent → Attack → Continue#3 → Dig → Positive#12 → Attack → Kill
ATaMa volley awards the point to your team and updates the next server and rotation.
Undo an entry
Tap Undo to go back one input step. If no in-progress action remains, Undo can reopen the last saved rally so you can correct it.
For an older rally, open the Review page.
End the set
When the set-ending dialog appears, verify the winner and tap Confirm. Turn on End match only when the entire match is finished.
When you are comfortable with the basic flow, continue to Live input: advanced.
